This has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, and I'd like to share the first of three projects that have grown out of that journey.

During my research, I was saddened to discover the increasing levels of teacher anxiety and the number of talented teachers leaving the profession early. Sadly, I've also begun to recognise many of these concerns among my own students as they prepare to enter the profession. That research, together with those conversations, became the inspiration for this short practical guide.
I wanted to write something that not only helps people enter teaching, but also prepares them for the emotional challenges that many new teachers never see coming.
