A Thank You... and the First Outcome of My Master's Journey
Two years ago, I began a Master's degree that not only changed my life but also changed the way I think about education and teacher development.
During that journey, hundreds of people from my LinkedIn network generously gave their time, encouragement and expertise. Because much of the research was anonymous, I have no way of thanking those who participated personally, so I simply want to say thank you.
Every contribution helped make this work possible.
One finding stood out above all the others: Many talented new teachers aren't leaving the profession because they lack ability. They're leaving because nobody prepared them for the emotional realities of the job.
That discovery became the inspiration for the first of three projects to emerge from my Master's journey, and I'd like to share the first with you today.

Supporting the Next Generation of Teachers
During my research, I was saddened to discover the increasing levels of teacher anxiety and the number of talented teachers leaving the profession early. Sadly, I've also begun to recognise many of these concerns among my own students as they prepare to enter the profession. That research, together with those conversations, became the inspiration for this short practical guide.
