Teacher Connect Pilot Seminar – London
Emerging Topics
Monday 29th March 2027
10.00 - 13.00
This small-cohort seminar is part of Teacher Connect’s ongoing exploration of emerging topics affecting education.
The session will present findings from recent UK research examining institutional awareness and responses to discussions surrounding 'Emerging Topics'. The research presented involved engagement with more than 300 UK educational institutions and explores how education systems may respond to complex or uncertain areas of knowledge.
As part of the initial Foundational Cohort, participants will contribute to early professional dialogue that will inform the future development of Teacher Connect seminars and related research activities.
Participants will take part in structured breakout discussions designed to reflect on the research and consider the potential implications for curriculum leadership, institutional governance, and professional responsibility.
The seminar is designed as a professional, exploratory discussion rather than an advocacy event, providing a calm, structured environment in which complex topics can be examined with academic rigour.
